Tália Lenses: what data the camera uses

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This is a courtesy translation. If there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

With Tália Lenses, you can apply fun and useful augmented reality effects on top of selfies and images. Our camera uses technology to locate certain features (like where your hands, eyes, and nose are) and uses that information to accurately position the Lenses on the image sensed by the camera. Any information that is collected will be deleted as soon as possible (typically soon after Lenses is closed) and always within no more than three years.

Who powers Lenses

Lenses are powered by Camera Kit, a technology from Snap Inc. The image is processed on your device while the Lenses camera is open.

  • Lenses do not identify you: they locate where the features of a face or hands are, not whose they are.
  • Tália does not store that information or use it for advertising.
  • The photo or video you take with a Lens is yours: it is saved or shared only if you choose to.

Children and supervised accounts

If the parent or guardian does not want the minor to use Lenses, it is enough not to accept the terms notice shown the first time a Lens is opened: without that acceptance Lenses do not activate, and the rest of the camera keeps working.
